Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) collaboration aims to reinvigorate the Patient-Centered Outcome Research Trust Fund (PCORTF) strategic plan.
Arbor Research is collaborating with the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) to reinvigorate the Patient-Centered Outcome Research Trust Fund (PCORTF) strategic plan, guiding the allocation of approximately 1 billion dollars over the next decade to fund Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR), disseminate PCOR evidence, build capacity for research, and develop a data infrastructure for PCOR to improve health and health care for all Americans, in particular, underserved populations.
In light of the significant funding and resource commitment, external accountability and transparency are at the heart of this strategic planning work. Arbor Research is working closely with AHRQ to actively and consistently engage stakeholders, conduct in-depth rapid-cycle formative policy research to guide recommendations, and to craft iterative governance principles necessary to meticulously develop and refine a strategic plan for the comprehensive PCORTF portfolio. Arbor’s refinement of the strategic framework will serve as an enduring guide to determine AHRQ’s PCORTF investments advance equitable, accessible, and affordable whole-person care over a lifespan, while the strategic plan serves as a roadmap to measure and guide portfolio success.
