January 8, 2025 — Christopher Spera, President and CEO of Arbor Research Collaborative for Health, announced the election of Bryan K. Johnson, JD, MBA to the Arbor Research board of directors in 2025. Mr. Johnson was a co-founder of Insight Policy Research in 2001. His strategic development, operational management, and financial oversight led the start-up company to become one of the premier small businesses in the federal research and evaluation sector. Upon the merging of the company with Westat in 2022, he served as the COO of Westat Insight and the Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy at Westat.

“Arbor Research Collaborative for Health has begun an exciting growth path. Bryan’s experience developing and growing a premier research organization will prove invaluable as we invest in our future by pushing the organization in new directions and expanding boundaries both within our federal and industry markets,” said Christopher Spera, PhD, President, and CEO.

Mr. Johnson has directed high-profile research, evaluation studies and policy analyses for federal agencies, state and local governments, and nonprofits. He is an expert in health services delivery, health workforce development, health education and training, and access to care for populations at need. He also initiated, fostered, and built Insight’s food and nutrition division, turning it into one of the nation’s foremost SNAP and WIC research organizations affiliated with food support programs in the mainland US and territories. He is renowned for his work in performance measurement and key performance indicators, having led the development of performance monitoring frameworks for government agencies and having guided performance measurement development and assessments for multiple agencies, states, and nonprofit organizations.

“I am honored to join the talented and distinguished board of directors for Arbor Research Collaborative for Health. Arbor Research is a tremendously skilled and mission-focused research organization. I look forward to supporting the organization and its staff as they broaden their focus and address more challenges in the health field,” said Bryan Johnson.

“The growth of Arbor Research has been thrilling, and the addition of Bryan to the Board supports continued growth. I and the other board members welcome the addition of Bryan.”  said Larry Warren, incoming chair of the Arbor Research board of directors.
