Senior Editor II
Dr. Akins is a scientific and medical editor with over 11 years of experience. She is proficient in writing, revising, and evaluating materials for a variety of audiences, including manuscripts for academic journals, clinical reports, grants, and proposals. Her previous research focused on the neuroscience of respiratory rhythm and pattern generation, and she has broad expertise in other scientific and medical fields. She holds a PhD in Applied Science, specializing in Neuroscience, and a Master of Science, specializing in Computational Biology, from the College of William & Mary. She also has a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Science and Technology, specializing in Biotechnology, from James Madison University. She proudly joined Arbor Research as a Sr. Editor II in 2024.
