Senior Research Scientist
Dr. Childs is an organizational sociologist and mixed-methods health services researcher with 15+ years of experience designing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives to improve access to care. Her work focuses on exploring the interconnected factors that influence the success of interventions into health systems, using her background in organizational sociology and implementation science. Dr. Childs has experience directing projects and research tasks for federal clients, including Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Childs received her MA and PhD in Sociology from the University of Notre Dame, and her bachelors degree from the University of Minnesota.
